GigRank
Chrome Extension

GigRank

Last updated: May 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the GigRank Chrome extension ("the Extension"), provided by TomorrowByte, handles your information. GigRank tracks Fiverr gig rankings on your behalf — and does so entirely on your own device by default.

1.Information We Collect

GigRank does not collect personally identifiable information. The Extension stores only the data you explicitly enter (gig URLs, target keywords) and the ranking results it observes from public Fiverr search pages.

All data is stored locally in your browser via chrome.storage. An optional Firestore cloud sync is available if you choose to back up your tracked keywords and history; this is opt-in and not enabled by default.

2.How the Extension Works

GigRank performs automated rank scanning on Fiverr search result pages and shows results in a side panel dashboard. Specifically, the Extension:

  • Runs only on https://*.fiverr.com/search/gigs* — Fiverr search result pages only.
  • Walks through search pages sequentially to locate your gig.
  • Tracks unlimited keywords per gig with independent ranking history.
  • Performs scheduled background scans on a randomized cadence.
  • Syncs ranking state across all your open Fiverr tabs.
  • Never injects into seller dashboards or private account pages.

3.Permissions & Why We Need Them

Per its manifest, GigRank requests only the permissions required for these features:

storage
Save your tracked gigs, keywords, and ranking history locally.
tabs
Coordinate scanning across multiple Fiverr tabs.
activeTab
Read ranking data from the Fiverr search tab you have open.
scripting
Inject the rank-detection logic into Fiverr search pages.
sidePanel
Display the GigRank dashboard in your browser side panel.
host: *.fiverr.com
Access only Fiverr search pages — no other site is touched.
host: firestore
Optional cloud sync for backing up your tracked data.

These permissions are never used for advertising, tracking, or anything outside the documented features.

4.Data Storage

All Extension data — tracked gigs, keywords, ranking history, and your preferences — is stored locally via chrome.storage. You can clear this data at any time by:

  • Removing tracked items from inside the side panel.
  • Uninstalling the Extension.
  • Clearing your browser's extension storage.

5.Optional Firestore Cloud Sync

If you opt in to cloud backup, your tracked keywords and ranking history are sent to Google Firestore under your own account namespace. This data is used only to restore your history across devices — it is not analyzed, monetized, or shared with anyone. You can disable cloud sync at any time and request deletion by contacting us.

6.Third-Party Services

The Extension does not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. The only external service contacted is Firestore, and only if you have explicitly enabled cloud sync.

7.Account, Login & Fiverr Credentials

GigRank uses your existing Fiverr browser session to read public search results. It does not read, store, or transmit your Fiverr password or login credentials.

8.Children's Privacy

GigRank is intended for adult Fiverr sellers. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

9.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The revision date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Continued use of the Extension after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
